Luis Carrilero, MD
Luis Carrilero, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience. He specializes in hip and knee reconstruction, orthopedic shoulder conditions, orthopedic sports medicine, and arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Carrilero regularly participates in conferences and hands-on training to provide patients with safe and innovative approaches to treatment, including the latest in orthopedic robotic-assisted surgery. His practice philosophy emphasizes evidencebased practices and patient education to improve health and optimize patient outcomes.
Dr. Carrilero graduated medical school with honors from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed multiple fellowships, including Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Chicago Hospitals. During his fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Duke University, he served as a team physician for men’s basketball, football, and women’s field hockey and volleyball teams.
